I had an absolutely amazing stay at this hostel! The location was incredible, right in the heart of the old town, making it super easy to explore all the attractions. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. The staff, especially one of the girls at reception who spoke great English, were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to assist us. The family-owned atmosphere was really special, with the owner even speaking some Czech! The facilities were simple, yet clean, and the bathroom had good water pressure. The alley location also meant that the street noise was minimal, ensuring a peaceful night's rest. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Stayed at this hostel for 3 nights and it was perfect for exploring the Old Quarter. the room was spacious and comfortable, with a nice hot shower. Communication before our stay was great and they provided detailed instructions. the owner was friendly and arranged trips for us. Good prices for water and cola at the reception. great experience!

Menu for breakfast could have been more diverse, instead of just offering the usual options.

The location of this hostel was great, right in the heart of the old quarter. There were plenty of shops, restaurants, and supermarkets nearby, making it convenient for exploring and grabbing essentials. the staff were also friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with any requests or questions.

The hostel was quite difficult to find, tucked away in a deep alleyway. the building itself was old and outdated, with small and congested rooms that were not suitable for two people.

noisy nights, curfew problems

We had a great stay at North Hostel N2! the staff, particularly Hoang and his team, were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. the room was perfect, with a lovely view of Hoan Kiem. the hostel is situated on a quiet backstreet, but still close to amazing places to eat and drink. We also had a positive experience when we lost some luggage in a taxi, as Hoang assisted us in communicating with the taxi group and getting our belongings back within hours. If you're looking for a centrally located and welcoming place in Hoan Kiem, this is the place for you!

I stayed at North Hostel N.2 for a few nights during my solo trip to Hanoi. The location was fantastic, tucked away down a quiet alley but still close to all the museums in the city. The owner, Mr. Hoang, was extremely friendly and provided helpful tips. The staff were accommodating and even checked in on me after check out to make sure I got to the airport safely. The double room on the upper floor was cozy and had a beautiful antique bed. a comfortable and friendly hotel in the heart of the tourist area.

I had a wonderful experience at a hostel in Hanoi. The owner was lovely and even upgraded us to a superior room for free. The room was well-designed with a comfortable bed, spacious wardrobe, balcony, and private bathroom. The shower was great and despite the building being old, our room was clean. The central location added to the convenience. The staff was exceptional, going above and beyond to help us. it was a reliable, comfortable, and affordable option.

We stayed at a great hostel located in a vibrant neighborhood close to Hoan Kiem lake. the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, and the room was comfortable with everything we needed. the location was also perfect, hidden away in an alleyway to avoid traffic noise. We even had a view of Hoan Kiem lake from our room. the hostel was close to amazing places to eat and drink, and the owner went above and beyond to help us when we lost our luggage in a taxi. it was an immaculate and perfectly located place run by wonderful people. Cons: Everything is what I need and want. 👍.

Convenient key drop-off system, usually staffed reception desk. Cash payment required due to credit card machine issue. highly recommend for a cash-friendly stay in Vietnam.
